Iran's FM, Hezbollah Chief Hail Resistance of Palestinians in Gaza

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance Movement Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in a meeting in Beirut lauded the Palestinians for their "great" resistance in Gaza Strip and West Bank against the Israeli regime.

In their meeting in the Lebanese capital on Thursday, the Hezbollah chief and the top Iranian diplomat exchanged views about issues in the region, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon.

Amir Abdollahian outlined Iran's diplomatic efforts and consultations over recent weeks about possible ways to help the Palestinian people and stop the Israeli regime's war crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Iranian foreign minister said the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas on the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and the captive swap deal were the result of the Palestinian people's resistance and Israel’s desperation in the face of the resistance.

Nasrallah hailed resistance of people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and reiterated the resistance's full readiness in various fronts.

On Wednesday, after weeks of tense negotiations, Israel and Hamas reached a long-anticipated deal, according to which the Palestinian group would release at least 50 hostages – women and children, during a four-day pause which could be extended. The Office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed out that “the release of every additional ten hostages will result in one additional day in the pause”.

Upon his arrival in the Lebanese capital, Amir Abdollahian said six weeks of heroic resistance of the Palestinian people in Gaza has proved that time is not on Israel’s side if the war drags on, stressing that the global public opinion would see the occupying regime and the US as the main losers.

"Without a doubt, the future of Gaza and the future of Palestine will be decided only by the Palestinian people,” the top diplomat stated.

“We have heard from the resistance leaders in the region that the finger of the resistance will remain on the trigger until the Palestinian people's rights are fully restored and their fight has achieved its goals,” he added.

In early October, Hamas launched a multi-pronged surprise military operation via land, sea and air against Israel. The group announced it was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and Israeli settlers’ growing violence against Palestinians. The attacks have so far killed more than 1,200 and injured over 5,500, according to Israeli officials. Hamas also announced it is holding between at least 200 and 250 hostages.

Following the multi-front attack by Hamas, Israel carried out heavy bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing more than 14,500 Palestinians, including at least 6,000 children and over 4,000 women, and wounding over 33,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. The bombing, as well as enforced displacement orders by the Israeli Army, has also pushed 1.7 million people out of their homes.

Tel Aviv has also imposed a "complete siege" on Gaza, cutting off food, electricity, fuel and water supplies. The move has plunged the blockaded territory into a humanitarian crisis.

The Gaza Health Ministry has confirmed that the healthcare system in the besieged territory has “totally collapsed due to the Israeli war”. Dozens of hospitals and tens of medical centers are out of service due to Israeli raids, according to the enclave's health ministry. The UN agencies have also warned that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is "catastrophic", calling for more international help as conditions deteriorate in the densely populated besieged enclave.

Iranian officials have in recent weeks cautioned that the current status in West Asia resembled a powder keg which could spiral out of control. They warned that if diplomatic pushes to stop Israeli assault are unsuccessful, there is a risk of the conflict escalating uncontrollably, with multiple regional players joining the fight.

Iranian officials say the Palestinian resistance movements do not face a shortage in munitions and other military equipment and are ready for a long battle with Israel and they are currently considering various options in response to the Zionist regime act of aggression and relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

Tehran says the history of Israel is full of assassinations, massacre, torture and killing of Palestinian kids, and described Tel Aviv regime's atrocities and massacre of Palestinian women and children as indicative of the destitute of Zionists. Iranian officials say Tel Aviv has been struggling for more than 70 years to exit its identity crisis which has been mixed with genocide, plunder, forced displacement and scores of other inhumane moves.

ITS "DEAD END" FOR INDIAN FOREIGN RELATIONS - CREDIT GOES TO MODI LED BJP 'SARKAR'

Advertisement:  //lidsaich.net/4/6356527 India used to maintain fine balance in its foreign relations while dealing with America and Russia. However, since PM Modi took charge in 2014 a visible shift was observed in India’s foreign policy towards America and that traditional balance was compromised. During PM Modi’s tenure, India entered into three most significant military agreements with the Americans including BECA. Now this was senseless move from the BJP government because of the fact that the India is heavily dependent on Russia for military needs and Russia US are Arch Rivals. Which means India went with USA on strategic matters and at the same time, it kept relying on Russia to fulfill its military needs. So it was quite obvious that whenever there would be any dispute between the Russia and America, it would be hard for India to make any policy decision. This is exactly what has happened now during Ukraine Russia War where Russians are against Ukraine and US is with Ukra...

Demonstrators in DC Call for Ceasefire in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Pro-Palestinian protesters held a rally outside the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in Washington, DC, urging a ceasefire in Gaza.  US Capitol police officers have clashed with the non-violent protesters. The protest was organized by three advocacy groups and held in an area near the US Capitol in Washington on Wednesday night to urge lawmakers for a ceasefire in Palestine and an end to the brutal Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip. Several advocacy groups, including IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace Action, claimed on X platform (formerly known as Twitter) that they were “assaulted.” “We were peacefully linking arms, singing, and calling for a ceasefire,” IfNotNow posted. “Then Capitol Police rushed in, threw us down the stairs, and pepper sprayed us.” The organizers rejected allegations that demonstrators were violent. Photos posted on social media showed protesters wearing black T-shirts stenciled with “Cease Fire Now...
